Khaled Hosseini, author of The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns (which was our school's common reading) was the speaker at our Fall Convocation. It was amazingly cool to meet an author, (a successful one at that) especially since I'm writing a book and want to eventually have it published.
